Interim Assistant Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief of Staff
Erika Jackson was appointed Interim Assistant Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief of Staff to the Provost in September 2026. Jackson previously served as the Director of Institutional Analysis from 2023 to 2026, a department that provides invaluable insight for units across the campus as they make data-driven decisions. She joined UC Davis in 2012 as the Director of Policy and Analysis for Undergraduate Admissions. Prior to joining UC Davis, Jackson was a Senior Institutional Research Analyst at the University of California Office of the President from 2011 to 2012.
In April 2025, Jackson was appointed to a three-year term as a council member of the Association of American Universities Data Exchange (AAUDE). The council seeks to improve the quality and usability of information about higher education and support decision-making at AAU institutions.
Jackson holds a master’s degree in sociology from UC Davis and bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and sociology with a minor in mathematics from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
